Gunfight rages in Kokernag, internet snapped

Anantnag: An encounter broke out between government forces and militants in south Kashmir’s Kokernag area on Saturday night.
Official sources said that, A joint team of government forces including Army’s 19 RR, special operations group and JKP laid a siege around Tangpawa area of Kokernag and started search operation .
When the search operation was in progress, militants hiding in the village opened fire on forces, however the forces retaliated to the fire. The exchange of fire was going on till this report was filed.
Meanwhile, authorities have also snapped mobile internet service in the area.
