Condolences pour from all walks of life on Dr Jamsheed jameel’s demise
Srinagar : People from different walks of life including Social, Political, Cultural organisations and Journalist Association here expressed condolences and prayers on the demise of Prominent Research Scholar, Writer and Environmenlist Dr Jamsheed Jameel Mir who Passed away on Tuesday after a months long battle with Cancer.
Dr Jamsheed’s health Began deteriorating on Tuesday night. He was diagnosed with early-stage last year and had been in Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences ( SKIMS ) Soura since, where he underwent multiple surgeries and chemotherapy sessions.
Besides Media, Former MLA Bandipora Nizamuddin Bhat, Citizens Council Bandipora, Chairman Prof Ismail Ashna, NC Leader Sameer Iqbal Bhat, Adbi Markaz Karmraz, Literally Forum Bandipora, Peoples League Chairman Khan Sopori, Muslim League, Teachers Forum Bandipora and other religious organisations in their condolence messages prayed for the departed soul and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family.
Dr Jamsheed Jameel was a popular as a teacher among students for his efficiency and dedication.
Hundrends of his students and Friends took to social networking sites to expresses their grief over the demise of Dr Jamsheed.
Asif iqbal wrote, I was shocked to know about his death, though I am not a student of History, but I was very much influenced by his humble personality, asif said referring to Dr Jamsheed, adding that his death is an irreparable loss to Valley Particularly Bandipora. His knowledge of the subject was at par with international standards and his demise is a big loss to Bandipora, he added. Jahangir Aziz another Social media user wrote that, He was a great teacher, real asset of Bandipora and was a lover of sports. He would always be ready to lend his helping hand to anyone, who would approach him for purpose of help, he added.
People bid him farewell and put the soil over his grave amid sobs and tears all around. On everyone’s face, there was sadness and tearful eyes. Jamsheed had completed his research program in Peace and conflict resolution in 2014 and was working as a board member for Environmental Governance and Sustainability Studies since 2016.
