Baramulla : Appealing masses to vote for him, Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate from Baramulla Parliamentary constituency Quyoom Wani Sunday addressed around a dozen gatherings at North Kashmir’s Pattan and Tangmarg villages.

Addressing a workers’ convention in Pattan area, Wani said that PDP is committed to channelize power of the common masses to restore the lost legacy of north Kashmir.

“Let Kashmiris understand their duties and not miss the opportunity to send right persons in India’s parliament to represent their sufferings and sentiments. If people make a wrong choice yet again, the onus will lie on them not on those who exploit their sentiments,” Wani said while addressing the public gatherings.

In his short address to the masses, he said that the PDP is a movement for peace and development in the state.

“During the past several years, i served education sector (ReT forum) , to join the Peoples Democratic Party was a conscious decision. However, for now, i’m committed to bring Baramulla district out of misery, despondency and darkness,” he said.

Quyoom Wani reiterated that 2019 parliamentary election is a test check to the wisdom and political maturity of masses and if they want their sentiments and emotions to be represented in the parliament they have no option but to vote for People’s Democratic Party (PDP).

“The Confidence Building Measures taken by the PDP founder Mufti Mohammad Sayeed like talks with Hurriyat and opening of the Muzzafarbad route are enough to make people understand the pro-people policies of the PDP and why every peace-loving citizen of the state is duty bound to strengthen the party on ground,” Wani said while addressing the public gatherings in Pattan area .

Wani was accompanied by assembly candidate from Tangmarg, Shabir Ahmad Mir, who said that, “There will be no future government without PDP.”

Addressing the gatherings, Shabir Mir cautioned the people against the machinations of the politicians inimical to the unity and diversity of the state and hoped that they will fight them through their strength of ballot and isolate them politically.

He said PDP has always fought the politics of hate and will continue to do so ever in the larger interest of retaining the secular fabric of the state, for which it is known all over.

Shabir urged masses to vote in huge numbers and become part of the movement.

The duo leaders visited Pattan, Bahrampora, Chukar, Hardushoora, Check Sari, Wailoo, Mehmood Pora, Nihalpora, Guiwah, Dangerpora, Warpora, Dondora, Gadwani, Serwa Shoch Palpora and other various places.

It’s worth to mention here that, Baramulla Lok Sabha constituency, spread over 15 assembly segments in three districts of Baramulla, Kupwara and Bandipora, will see a triangular contest in the first phase of the 2019 general elections.
The voting segments of the constituency include the far-flung Gurez and Karnah assembly segments which remain closed due to heavy snowfall for nearly three winter months each year.
The constituency also includes big towns like Baramulla, Sopore, Kupwara, Handwara Hajin and Pattan.
