Jammu : On this ‘World Press Freedom Day Today’ we hope this news story will help awakening our system.

While poor infrastructure, meagre productiveness followed by literally slow pace of work duly because of habitual delaying tactics etc. seems behind not as much of job opportunities in J&K. At the same time, unwillingness to bring innovations and improvements in the midst of seats of powers, now started giving the impressions of becoming a root cause of all such underdevelopments in this unfortunate state of Jammu and Kashmir.

And, political regimes also cannot distinct themselves from all such failures being responsive or never been found as seriously interested in building the J&K at par with others states else done something constructive to eradicate militancy by creating ample of job opportunities within the region. Instead each time our so-called leaders been found busy in prize fighting on immaterial things and propagate big slogans of doing this-or-that, there-of.

However, in 2015, PM Modi while announcing the big package of 80,000 crore for J&K, although with a proverb in his traditional style “This is not a full stop ___ it’s rather a beginning” genuinely involved many hearts while brought a ray of hope through his another catchphrase “Dilli ka khazana aap ke liye hai, Dilli ka khazana hee nahi, dil bhi aap ke liye hazir hai”.

Simultaneously, Modi’s big announcement made like a habitual achiever toward promotion and further strengthening of tourism sector in state alongside his assurance on 100% Electrification of J&K State through “Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana” (Saubhagya) also made many innocent citizens to experience fantasising.

In any case; might things now appearing as if with conditions, going to be possible only after May 2019 (with re-elect Modi only) and once again people of J&K state like many others, been asked to wait and see the far-reaching developments and infrastructural growth after his 2nd term, stated an ex bureaucrat retired from JK tourism department, while interacting with GMK reporter at Jammu. Ex civil servant also revealed the NJP-PDP government’s controversially coming up ‘International Yoga Centre (IYC)’ near Patnitop-Mantalai in Udhampur district as part of the ‘integrated development of tourist facilities’ project at Mantalai-Sudhmahadev-Patnitop circuit, with an aim to give fillip to the tourism sector in Jammu, also now grown like in tortoise speed.

Though! A project under the Prime Minister’s Development Programme of Rs 82.17 crore (although other sources revealed that sanctioned cost of Rs 97.82) has been sanctioned by Tourism department, might-indeed under some influence being single bidder, via floating the tendering norms to an inexperienced firm M/S Empyrean Skyview Projects (P) Ltd. owned by Mr. Junaid Altaf s/o Mr. Altaf Bukhari the then, Finance Minister of J&K. Nightmare merchants, announced that the project will take account of construction of yoga centre with associated infrastructure, wellness, spa, ayurveda complex, separate area for traditional Indian spa therapies with library and archiving centre etc.
Like-wise, Jammu Ropeway project under state plan at a cost of Rs 60 crore and infrastructure projects worth Rs 25.44 crore under the Prime Minister’s development package were also been sanctioned for at Kishtwar, Bhaderwah, Rajouri, Poonch, Surinsar Mansar and Lakhanpur Sarthal Development Authorities. If people been believed, they still remembering the chants of PM Modi, who said that “the dreams of two generations have been lost in last two decades. But I am an optimist and would like to move ahead and covert Jammu and Kashmir into a modern and developed state” said Sunainya the Kousher-Mousher girl of J&K, at Jammu today. Rajinder singh another senior citizen, and a media head writer from Jammu also told GMK that during his visit at Kashmir, PM himself accepted that the youths of the State needed employment but unfortunately, nothing much is there on ground till date. And, he knows that there are officials and local intellects in society those want to contribute and having wonderful ideas but regrettably few babus (bureaucrats’) sitting on high seats are seriously lethargic and ineffectual or might also be corrupt else under the negative influences, exactly blameable behind slow pace of works and non-implementations’ of all such development projects.
Required now; an immediate identifications of all and be made held responsible with a stern action by our governance.
