Bandipora: Oct 18: Protesters blocked Bandipora-srinager road at sumbal resulting in heavy traffic jam. The protesters were protesting against the scarcity of drinking water in the area.
Locals came out on roads early in the morning and stopped traffic movement on the road. Police is on spot but the road is still blocked by angry protesters.
Later, a police team headed by SHO Sumbal, Mehboob Banday reached the spot and assured the protesters to take up the issue with the concerned authorities.On the assurance of SHO, the protesters dispersed peacefully and vehicular movement was restored.
