Kashmiris don’t need permission from GoI to use own roads: Mehbooba
Srinagar : Peoples Democratic Party president and Ex chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti appealed people to defy the ban on highway.
Speaking during the rally, Mehbooba Mufti said, the road belongs to Kashmiris not the government of India (GoI).
Addressing the media , Mufti said that, if the GoI thinks that they can suppress the people of Kashmir by such acts, they are wrong.
“Kashmir belongs to us, and it is our choice whether we use our resources or not, the government of India has no right to decide anything on it,” PDP president and Ex chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir added.
It is worth to mention here that, The government on Wednesday passed an order that restricts civilian traffic movement of Srinagar-Jammu highway on Wednesday and Saturday, every week. The decision evoked sharp reactions from various political parties and business class.
