Train service resumes in valley
Srinagar: Train service was resumed on Tuesday after remaining suspended on Monday for “security reasons” in the Kashmir valley, where JRL had called for a shutdown in poll bound areas of Kulgam district.
We have resumed all train runs in the Kashmir valley today after receiving a fresh advisory from administration and police , a senior railway official told GMK.
He said, therefore, trains will run on Srinagar-Budgam and Baramulla in north Kashmir. Similarly, trains will also chug on Budgam-Srinagar-Anantnag-Qazigund in south Kashmir to Banihal in Jammu region, he added.
Railway official said the department is acting on the advice of local administration.
