Sopore shuts after local militant killed in Shopian
Srinagar: A complete Shutdown is being observed in Sopore town of Baramulla district after the killing of a local militant in a gunfight in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday morning.
GMK’s north Kashmir correspondent, Kirmani Aafaq said that, all shops and other business establishments are closed in the town while as adequate security measures have been put on in the area.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla has also ordered the closure of all schools and colleges in Sopore town.
Earlier, Today morning, a militant identified as Ishfaq Sofi from Model Town Sopore, was reportedly killed in a brief gunfight with the government forces in Amshipora village of Shopian district.
However, officials were yet to confirm the identity of the slain militant.
