Budgam : The Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday morning said that they rescued 2 shepherds and around 550 sheep who were trapped in a Doodganga naalah at Badipura village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam District.

Due to heavy rain fall from last night 2 shepherds and around 550 sheep were trapped in nallah Doodganga at Badipora Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

SHO Chadoora, Mehboob Banday, said that ”in the morning we received the information about the incident and police department along with SHO Chadoora , fire and emergency department reached the spot soon and with the help of locals started the rescue operation.

Officials sources said that at least 500 to 600 sheep and 2 shepherds were rescued by Budgam Police team and with the help of locals at Badipora Chadoora by constructing a temporary bridge.
