Overcrowded Bus:The journey of risk. The ramshackle road and over clunky vehicles

The residents of adjoining areas of Naidkhai,Sultanpora,Goshbugh and offcourse students are gone through various problems on daily basis due to the inadequate transport facility, a vehicle which could carry around 20 passengers, carries 30 to 40 passengers that affects merely students.

Students who hails from pattan area are supposed to be on time in college so that they can attend the classes properly on time but due to the supineness of transport their studies are still being effected.

The passenger bus which comes from naidkhai with overloaded passengers, we hardly get a space inside the bus and if noticed then we climb up on the roof of the bus and some hanging on the foot steps of the bus said a student gloomily nasir ahmad tantray.

Students left their houses early morning at 9 am but couldn’t reach on the time due to heavy overload said a resident of the area Ghulam Mohammad bhat.

While As when someone Wants to exit from the bus, all our uniform get dirty due to trod of shoes because of the overload said another student.

Despite all the seats in the bus are filled by passengers, The bus did not run till get overcrowded, however Vehicles often have a limit on how much stuff it is safe to load
but drivers recklessly overloading their vehicles said a government employee.

The Motor Vehicle Act (MVA) 1988,Central Motor Vehicle Rules, 1989 and State Motor Vehicle Rules are the legal instruments for the conduct of road traffic in India and the clause of this MVA ACT for overloading is :
36.Overloading a vehicle beyond extent limit is Fine up to Rs 2000 and Rs. 1000 per tonne of extra load But the drivers openly violate the traffic rules and continues their habit of overloading.

In past,the issue of overloading has been highlighted several times but the drivers continued breaking the traffic rules and make space for passengers more than their carrying capacity.

Students, residents and employers appealed the IGP Traffic Basant rath to look in this matter so we can get relief from this affliction.
