Gunfight Rages in South Kashmir’s Shopian Village

Srinagar : An encounter started between militants and forces at South Kashmir’s Badigam area of s Shopian district on Sunday morning.
As per the reports, a team of Army ( 44- RR ) acting on inputs about the presence of militants in area, actng on it , army launched CASO at Badigam village of Shopian .

Meanwhile, A Police officer said , after the search party fired some shots towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants opened fire.
The officer said that the fire was retaliated triggering off an exchange of fire.
However, A group of three militants believed to be engaged in a gunfight, while as intermittent exchange of firing was going on, till the laat report was filed
