Bandipora, Nov 12: Residents of Many villages of North Kashmir’s district Bandipora including Gundpora ,Rehmatpora , CA khan , dardpora and melkhama have been badly hit due to frequent cuts in the harsh winter days.

The residents said that Power Development Department (PDD) has failed to supply uninterrupted power supply to the inhabitants.

“We do not receive proper power supply as per schedule and frequent power cuts have become a daily affair now,” the villagers said.

Most of the areas in bandipora are reeling complete darkness due to frequent and long power cuts in the area.

Students are also worst hit, as they couldn’t study after dusk. “Our exams are going on and due to shortage of Power supply we have to face a lot of hardships. We have been repeatedly asking authorities to fix this problem but to no avail,” said a student, Talib Ahmad bhat from Gundpora.

“The electricity is playing hide and seek from the past ten days, frequent powercuts result in unbearable hardships to us. Students who are appearing in different Board and University exams can’t study properly,” complained a Student of Gundpora.
