Forces launch CASO in Achabal
Srinagar,: Security forces on Wednesday afternoon launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in Wanigam village of achabal belt of south kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Official sources said that, a joint team of security forces including Army’s 19-RR, Special Operation Group of local Police and CRPF launched a search operation in the area after receiving the special inputs about the presence of militants in the area.
Eye wiitnesses told Good Morning Kashmir that door to door search operation was initiated and all the entry and exit points of the village have been sealed.
Local sources told that huge contingents of forces have been deployed in the area. However, No contact has been established with the militants so far, they said, adding that the operation was going on when the reports last came in.
