Clashes erupted in Pinjura village of Shopian district in south Kashmir on Thursday afternoon after the government forces launched a Cordon-And-Search-Operation.
Cordon and search operation launched by 44rr, SOG and Jk police in village pinjura this afternoon inputs about the presence of militants on the area.
Local sources said that soon after the government forces cordoned the area, youth took to streets and hurled rocks on the forces, responded by lobbing teargas shells to disperse the protesters.
Meanwhile, Intense clashes erupted between protesters and government forces in Wani Mohalla of Keller area in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday after a joint team of forces cordoned off the village.
